Girls track v. HT contributed by Julie Stratton

On Thursday the girls beat Haddon Township 96-44 making their record 5-1. Many outstanding performances took place and the team did a great job. In long jump Sanchez took 2nd and Stratton took 3rd. In triple jump Wyatt, Sanchez, and Bass swept with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Teeny Thomas and Danielle Marco took 1st and 2nd in polevault. Alisha Singleton and Candace Daywalt took 1st and 2nd in the 400 intermediate hurdles. Emily Daiutulo, Julie Stratton, and Taylor Straub swept the 1600. Ateera Wyatt and Ebony Felder got 1st and 2nd in the 400. Candace Daywalt,Amy Lombard, and Julie Stratton swept the 800. Diautulo and Straub took 1st and 3rd in the 3200. Tyra Satchell, Arianna Melton, and Chanel Jenkins swept shot put. Jenkins and Jordan Wallace took 1st and 3rd in discus. Rachel Adamski and Ateera Wyatt took 1st and 2nd in javelin.

April 18 varsity update

Softball 1-0 win over W. Deptford. Volleyball 2-0 vs Penn Tech

Congrats to boys and girls track for wins today over Haddon Twp! Boys record is a perfect 6-0. The Girls are 5-1.

Casey leads Silver Knights to 7-0 victory thanks to nine strikeouts.

Thursday was a great day for Donovan Casey, as Casey tossed a shutout to carry the Silver Knights to a 7-0 victory over West Deptford. Casey struck out nine and gave up just 3 hits.

The biggest inning for Sterling was the first as the Silver Knights scored four runs.

The Silver Knights were sparked by Casey and J.T. Harding, who teamed up for four hits and three RBIs. Harding hit a 2-run homerun in the 3rd inning.

Sterling is now 7-1 and next play Monday vs Collingswood

Setback v. Woodbury

Woodbury's seventh inning charge helps upend Silver Knights, 5-4

Donovan Casey had a hot bat for Silver Knights. Casey went 2-3. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

T Wilson recorded the win for Woodbury.

The bottom of the first saw Woodbury take an early lead, 3-0. 

Woodbury won the game with a run in the seventh inning when the herd scored on a walk.

Girls' Track comes close v. Haddonfield - contributed by Julie Stratton

The Sterling girls' track team took a tough loss to Haddonfield yesterday with a final score of 80-60. Although we may not have won, we still had some great performances. Ateera Wyatt took first in the triple jump with her PR of 35'1 1/2". Anyssa Sanchez took second in triple jump with a jump of 31'10.25". Sanchez also took third in the long jump with a jump of 14'6". Justine Thomas took first in polevault and Danielle Marco took second. Arianna Melton and Imani Bass tied for first in the high jump at a height of 4'4". In shot put Tyra Sathell took first place with her PR of 32'8 3/4", Arianna Melton took 2nd, and Chanel Jenkins took 3rd. Chanel Jenkins, Tyra Satchell, and Jordan Wallace swept the discus with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. Lastly, in Javelin, Rachel Adamski took first and Ateera Wyatt took 2nd. 

Girls' Track Relays - contributed by Julie Stratton

On Saturday the girls had a great meet at the West Deptford Relays. In every event they participated in they finished either 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. They finished 3rd overall for Group II. Here are some of the results; Ateera Wyatt, Anyssa Sanchez, and Arianna Melton finished 1st in the triple jump relay with a meet record of 98'1.5", Rachel Adamski, Ateera Wyatt, and Brianna Kearse took 1st in the Javelin relay with a total throw of 285'7". The final first place finishers of the day were Ebony Felder, Candace Daywalt, Ateera Wyatt, and Julie Stratton in the 4x400 meter relay with a time of 4:11.3, the second best time in school history. The second place finishers include the shot put relay of Tyra Satchell, Chanel Jenkins, and Arianna Melton, the discus relay of Brianna Kearse, Tyra Satchell, and Chanel Jenkins, and the 4x800 meter relay of Julie Stratton, Candace Daywalt, Amy Lombard, and Taylor Straub. The only event we finished 3rd in was the long jump relay which included Anyssa Sanchez, Julie Stratton, and Ebony Felder.
