The Sterling Swimming team defeated Bishop Eustace last
night 111-59. The knights took first place is every event and had some more
record performances. Here are the results:
Tommy Sheehan-200 IM and 100 free-1st place.
Mike Chicalo-200 Free-1st place.
Andrew Mottola-50 free and 100 Backstroke-1st place Dan
DeRemigi-500 free-1st place Ashley Sims-100 Butterfly-1st place Joe Gant-100
breaststroke-1st place
200 Medley Relay-Tommy Sheehan, Joe Gant, Andrew Mottola,
and Danny Sheehan-1st place.
200 free Relay-Ashley Sims, Danny Sheehan, Tyler Sheehan,
Matt Dieterle-1st place.
400 free relay- Tommy Sheehan, Dan DeRemigi, Matt
Dieterle, and Andrew Mottola-1st place.
New School Record:
Andrew Mottola set a new school record in the 100
backstroke with a time of 57.45. With this record, he holds each individual
record and apart of all 3 relay record teams for Sterling High School.
The knights improve to 6-6 on the season and will now be
waiting for the state playoff seedlings which will be released on Monday.
