Track team shines SJ sectionals

The Boys and Girls Winter Track team competed at the South Jersey Group 2 Championships on Thursday night.  The team competed at a very high level and achieved many personal bests.  Congratulations to the following athletes who placed in the top 6 and qualified for the New Jersey Group 2 Championships.

Almier McCoy placed in 4^th in the pole vault.

Naheem Parker placed 5^th in the 800 meters

The girls 4x4 of Ebony Felder, Rachel Adamski, Candace Daywalt, and Ateera Wyatt placed 6^th.

Victor Obhugi placed 6^th in the 55 Hurdles

Devin Thompson placed 2^nd in the 55 hurdles.

A special congratulations to Victor Obhugi who won the South Jersey Group 2 High jump Championship and Jimmy Daniels who won the South Jersey Group 2 3200 championship.  Jimmy’s time of 9:22 broke the New Jersey Group 2 Sectional record by over 7 seconds.
